Why Jiva came to Material World?

Before diving into the subject of why Souls had to come to this material world we need to understand a little about VishnuTattva. I am restricting my discussion withing the frame work of two ancient scriptures Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita and the commentary made on them by Srila Prabhupada. I pray to Srila Prabhupad that whatever I say in within the Parampara and I do not invent anything on my own.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Krishna is Bhaktavatsala. and His primary work is to enjoy the association of His pure Devotees. We in general term call this reciprocation of Loving interaction as "Leela " or Pastime. He is source of all Bliss Sat Chidananda Vigraha and therefore He is always in Pure Bliss or Eternal Happiness. However being Bhakta Vatsala and immensely Merciful ,He does not want to enjoy the Bliss alone and thus He wants to enjoy always with His devotees. Hence using His glance He impregnated Material Nature which is Krishna's External Potency ( BG 3.10) and He created Atomic Souls. Atomic Souls which are the main owner of our Body is nothing but the Marginal Potency of Lord and separated part and parcel of Lord Himself . The concept of Potency can be compared to energy as well. These Marginal Potency or " Tathastha Shakti" are vulnerable to fall down to the material world and also they are capable to be controlled by Internal Potency of Lord Krishna ( Yogmaya). or the external Potency ( Mahamaya) Under this stage the Souls stay with Him in Golok Vrindavana and as narrated in Chaitanya Charitamrita" Jiver Swarup Hoy Krishner Nitya Das" : the eternal nature of Jivas are the eternal servitor of Lord .In this mode in Golok Vrindavana every Jivas serve Krishna in every possible way and gets infinite enjoyment by this service.

Now out of this situation some of the souls momentarily feels envious of Lord and they instead of serving Lord want themselves to enjoy. They want to control the Lord's Potency.Lord's creation. Lord is so merciful He was amused at that and wanted them to enjoy similar . But how one can enjoy Proprietorship when he is is in Vaikuntha. So Lord manifested himself as MahaVishnu or KarandakhyiVishnu . In that form He created Millions of Universe. He manifested Himself again as Garbhodkahayi Vishnu. In this form from His navel a Lotus bloom and on the top of the Lotus He created the first Jiva "Brhma Ji" . In the stem of Lotus between Brahmalok to His naval there are 14 Lokas.. Lokas consist of millionsn of Universe. Our Bhulok is in the centre and Earth is paet of Bhulok Universe. Above Bhulok there are 7 including Swarga and below there are 7 including Patal. Brahma Ji as per instruction of Lord now created these Jivas who wanted to enjoy in Sura,Deva,Asura,Muni Manav etc...

Then Lord Manifested as Khirodakhyi Vishnu which form we normally see as Narayan ( four hand form.) from Brahmaji's wrath Lord Siva was created and Siva,Narayan and Brahma was empowered to maintain and manage these Universes. The demigods were empowered to manage these three devas to run the day to day affairs,

Now let us come back to our original thread where the Jiva was envious of Lord and wanted himself to enjoy. He was now sent to this material world. But in Vaikuntha his form was spiritual .and in spiritual form he can not stay in Material world. So he was given a dress which is nothing other than the body consists of 8 layers: Mind ,Intelligence,Ego and Earth,Water,Fire,Air and Ether.

When Jiva soul got his first body in his body Khirodakshayi Vishnu Himself also entered as Supersoul and his eternal companion. He took this service as He is Bhakta Vatsala and does not want to leave his child alone.. So He came and continuously watches when soul will again want to go back to Godhead. But Soul now with this so called new freedom chose to do something which does not cause for his return and that is "Sakam Karma" or Work with Desire to enjoy the fruit of work. And thus now that work kept on entangle him in action and reaction. As told in Chater 3 of BG the Capricious work or Vikarma pulls him down and throw him in eternal cycle of birth and death.

Then Soul meets his eternal enemy "Kama" which is Lust. Non fulfilment of Kama generated Kroadha ,Krodha created Sanmoha or delusion. Delusion created Loss of memory and Loss of memory causes loss of Intelligence., and when Intelligence is lost everything is lost and he keeps on doing work which is not right for a human body and thus he is awarded body of a animal, bird, insects ,trees and this continues for billions of years. But in every body wherever soul goes Paramtama travels with him and keeps on reminding.. but he never forces the Jiva to do something as he never takes back the "free will " what he has already given to soul

After many many births and many many austrities only in Human Body he will follow Karma Kanda-> Karma Yoga-> JnanYoga-> Dhyan Yoga and the BhaktiYoga and he will lose all desire to enjoy and will cry to go back to his eternal home. Then Paramtma will take him back to Vaikuntha again

Hence we may all have observed that as a living being we all have strong desire to control everything, claim every item as ours ,always think of what is there for me as these are the original thoughts of the soul which has brought us to this material world and we are stuck here for immeasurable years.

In 8th Chapter of Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna has given simple solution if we think of Him at the time of death we immediately go back.. but that is very difficult as through out our life we think of many other things so the last strong desire is nevery of Krishna

The soul is eternal and unborn, everlasting and does not change when body is changed as per BG 2.20 and changes dresses at each death 2.22 ..but we hardly recognise the soul and think of going back as millions of years we have only thought of self enjoyment and that evil wish comes to us naturally.
